A successful year comes to an end

The annual statics show: In 2011 one of two SimulationX users belongs to the automotive industry. That is why in the future ITI will continue to develop products and services for the specific needs of automobile manufacturers and suppliers. By way of thanks, ITI gained amongst others a tribute in connection to the event "BMW Supplier Innovation Award 2011" and presented together with the Bavarian OEM one of their projects at the MTZ conference Virtual Powertrain Creation – the fitting of a real-time physical transmission model in a powertrain simulation. ATZ online reported: “The new model allows a much greater attention to detail thanks to the physical modeling approach”.

Moreover, ITI exploited further interesting fields of application. The importance of renewable energies and the development needs for energy-efficient components and systems is out of the question. ITI was able to acquire new customers in the fields of marine, construction, aerospace as well as in further technical industries.

A novelty in 2011 was the SimulationX Information Days in Munich, Hamburg and Cologne were interested parties for the first time could experience the features of SimulationX at first hand on the spot. Using practical examples ITI engineers equipped participants with knowledge about the diverse options for the use of SimulationX. With the 14th ITI Symposium ITI continued a longstanding tradition. This year about 140 international visitors from industry and research joined the event for exchanging experiences and learning about new applications of SimulationX.

Especially ITI’s subsidiary companies in UK and France and its international trade were characterized by a positive business development. That is why a second office was opened at the headquarters in Dresden in April 2011 and the number of employees in all ITI business, units such as the development, engineering, sales and marketing department, was increased. The moving in a bigger new office in 2013 is already planned in detail. Because of the hugely increased export rates of the ITI group service and support activities in many developed and newly industrializing countries were extended.

As in the past, we would like to share our success of the business year 2011 and therefore, support with donations the children of the Dresden Kindergarten Schlaumäuse in their first contact with the English language. Furthermore we sponsor a special exhibition about the history of the Saxon computer engineering hosted by the Saxon Museum of Industry and the reconstruction of destroyed areas in Japan.

We thank all our customers and partners for their trust and the successful cooperation and wish you a Merry Christmas as well as an auspicious start into a happy and prosperous New Year.
