Interfaces for optimization tools

As a consequence of ever shorter development cycles companies are increasingly using CA tools for the product development. In order to meet quality requirements of virtual prototyping, analysis and optimization applications (CAO) are combined with SimulationX – issues can now be identified and eradicated already during the design phase.

SimulationX provides interfaces for several optimization tools, such as optiY, optiSLang and modeFRONTIER, with an option to treat optimization models as black boxes including input and output variables. They enable the user to run interdisciplinary optimization, robustness and reliability analyses or sensitivity studies of SimulationX models. In addition to that, those state-of-the-art solutions extend the application for faster calculations of alternatives, of optimization strategies and probability algorithms for analyses of tolerance, reliability and sensitivity as well as approximations.
