FISITA in Beijing, November 27-30, 2012
From November 27 until 30, 2012, the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China) are hosting the 34th FISITA World Automotive Congress in Beijing. The congress will focus on solutions for sustainable mobility in all areas of passenger car, truck and bus transportation. Special emphasis will be placed on the development of future powertrain systems, advanced internal combustion engines, energy efficient transmissions and drivelines as well as vehicle design, NVH and manufacturing.
Lionel Belmon from Global Crown will be presenting a paper on “modeling and simulation of DCT gearshifting for real-time and high-fidelity analysis” written in collaboration with ITI. The gear shifting process of dual clutch transmissions has an important impact on the customer felt quality. Therefore, it is necessary to balance gearshift timing, passenger comfort, clutch temperature etc. Dynamic simulation models are a great help to achieve satisfactory system behavior. The presentation will illustrate how Modelica based models can be used successfully from pre-design phases down to TCU calibration support.
